When the Neighborhood Pet Isn't Domesticated

Here in Anchorage, Alaska, we have roughly 1,000 resident moose during winter. How the Alaska Department of Fish and Game determine this I will never understand. It doesn't matter really matter though because every resident that see's one, regardless of how long they have lived in Alaska, instinctively comes to a halt and takes a snapshot of these glorious beasts.

We have a few resident moose living in our neighborhood and they stop by every few days and munch on our trees and bushes. I snapped the picture above of an adolescent moose after his late afternoon snack outside my front porch.

The only thing better would be legally able to turn him into sausage. Ohh, the finer things in life.
