Uncle Sam's name comes from the name of Samuel Wilson, a packed meat businessman from Troy, New York, who won a contract with the government to supply meat for the US warriors who fought in 1812.



 

The soldier's flesh was packed in wooden bar stamped with initials U.S., which was nothing short of 'United States.' But at that time the United States was a young country.



 

Not many people understand that U.S. is the acronym of United States. Many people ask what U.S. stands for. on the packets of meat, and it is usually answered that it stands for Uncle Sam, the rightful owner of the wooden barrels.


And now Samuel Wilson, the bearded man who likes to wear a red and white stained-colored costume combined with a blue suit and a star-like hat that resembles a US flag motif is endorsed by Congress as a symbol of the United States in addition to the state symbol of a bald eagle bearer 'E Pluribus Unum ("From many into one") 'that resembles our eagle.
