900 followers achieved from 200+ since I came back to Steemit a few months ago!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Here's a cool picture of me posing next to some graffiti art in Chiang Mai, a recent trip I made solely funded by Steemit itself.

It was a ton of fun and I definitely could not have done it without Steemit.

Truth be told, I got lucky. I mean, I was honestly a very stubborn writer.

I wanted fast results. I chased money, traffic and followers.

I grew to hate marketing and refused to learn anything that made me feel like I had to compromise my writing, as if my writing was the best thing on Earth.

And the lucky break came out of nowhere, the price of Bitcoin soared this year and my account here was filled with a few thousand dollars, much of which made a huge difference in my life.

But I don't want to be stubborn anymore. I don't want to believe solely in luck.

I just want to believe in myself because if I don't, I ain't got shit.

Yep, if you don't believe in yourself, you ain't got shit.

And you can start believing in yourself by going back to the basics.

That is why I try to write everyday here. That is why I try to go back to my core and see how I help others. That is why I try to be with my muse whenever I sit down to write so I know I am feeling it. That is why I try to learn new things slowly through baby steps.

That is how I try to be consistent.

So my best advice to you all here to find some decent and consistent success on Steemit: Go back to the basics, see how you can help others, provide something you feel for and not just post random things.  Learn new things even though it seems foreign to you, but do it slowly. Stop chasing and hoping for fast results. 

And try to have fun a long the way.
