I don't give a fuck if you're still making a few cents a post only.
I don't give a fuck if nobody knows who you are here.
I don't give a fuck if you're tired from struggling here.
I don't give a fuck if you feel broke as hell here.
I don't give a fuck if you can't make a full-time living here yet.
I don't give a fuck if you feel like the advice you're given isn't working and you aren't making any progress.
I don't give a fuck even if one of the whales are bullying you.
Do you know how lucky you are to be here on Steemit?
No, this isn't a motivational post where I scream quotes, no-excuses style to make you do shit.
No, this isn't a circle-jerking post where I talk about how much I love Steemit.
No, it ain't any of that.
This is a post of logic.
The fact is that Steemit is a live community of members all working together.
The fact is that Steemit is a working product now, though still in its infancy.
The fact is that Steemit is not a damn ICO.
The fact is that Steemit is no longer just an idea.
Do you know how fucking important this is?!
It is, but then again everything is important right?
I get it.
So let me explain. Take it from me, a writer and blogger from the old days.
Ideas are everywhere today. Everybody seems to have a good one.
But rarely anyone takes action upon their own idea.
For those who do, only a few succeed.
What does this mean?
It means that there're so many ICOs, new coins, new crypto, new tokens and yep, new ideas out there today.
And only a few percent of it will ever make it into your hands for you to use on an extremely basic level.
I've read so many whitepapers and told about some new coin out there that it's starting to be disillusioning:
- Every new idea is based on the blockchain.
- Every new idea is the next [current thing] but [you get to be paid for it!] E.g. "Our new platform is like WeChat, but imagine you get to be paid to simply chat with your friends!" It's very easy to juxtapose an idea with something successful today, but that does not make the idea successful in itself.
- Every new idea is supposedly easy for the layperson and it's going to change their lives.
- Every new idea is going to revolutionize society and the way we see things.
- Every new idea is something you should jump on in now so you can a headstart, a bonus or some shit.
- Every new idea has another idea that's going to come together and it's going to add up to become a bigger idea. E.g. "We're in the works of negotiating a contract with [big company.] Once that is done, big things will happen!"
Sounds exciting?
It is.
But ultimately, it's still an idea. That's why it's something you can only hear about.
Look at the roadmap section of every whitepaper and you'll see that they've a long way to go. Do not underestimate this fact.
Steemit is here. Steemit is live; alive. Steemit has real humans using it. Steemit has been around for a few years. Steemit has seeped into our everyday lives with its real benefits.
Do you know how fucking important that is?
Again, I am not here to preach the choir or start circle-jerking one another.
I am trying to persuade you with logic.
It's an extremely easy to be bought with an idea out there especially when it promises you an easy way out.
But the reality is, things are never that easy in life.
Just like how Steemit is not an easy way out to create a life of luxury.
But... it's here. You're here. You can use it with your own hands. You can test shit out. You can see how it works for yourself so you don't have to take other people's word for it.
Do yourself a favor today and start experiencing something so you can make a decision for yourself.
Don't buy into something when it's merely all talk.
Don't place your trust into something or someone so easily.
Don't get your hopes up like a kid.
You're an adult. Be smart about it.

Totally 100 % agree with you @aldentan.
I have said this before in the last 4 months since I have been here and I will say it again...I have been in Internet Marketing for over 10 years now. And I have been in many Forums participating and posting Content for well over 15 years.
And the fact is there is NOTHING and I mean NOTHING that even remotely rivals Steemit and the possibilities NOW and in the future for us here at Steemit.
NADA !!
Just getting a few cents here and there for simple Comments .. well there is nothing like that around.
Trust me..I've been there , done that ,seen that !!
Thanks for your Post :)
