Was pretty inspired by @acidyo's post on telling your fanbase about Steemit.

And I pondered about it for a while now. I've an active blog: www.Alden-Tan.com that has been around for a while now.

My readers there are loyal to me and I feel like I left them behind somewhat since I started focusing on Steemit.

As mentioned in this post, I want to bring Steemit to them.

Why?

Because I've been writing here at Steemit.com (click here for my Steemit blog.)

What's Steemit?

It's a blockchain social network.

I earn Steem tokens there.

I trade it for Bitcoin.

And that's my income right there.

I know... I know... You're thinking, "Oh what? Alden is into the whole Bitcoin thing!"

I don't know what is your reaction now.

Is it shock?

Is it disgust?

Is it intrigue?

Is it joy?

Whatever. I am not here to argue with you about how you feel towards Bitcoin and the realm of cryptocurrency.

I am here however, here to vouch for Steemit. (Keyword: Vouch, not promote.)

I enjoy writing there.

I won't deny that the money there is attractive.

But yo...

The community is Steemit is fucking dope and filled with cool ass people.

In my 6 years of blogging, this is the first community I've joined that isn't a full circle jerk of assholes.

All my life in blogging... I met scammy entrepreneurs who ONLY talked about how much money they made.

I met idiotic life coaches who are always only full of inspirational quotes.

I met fair-weathered friends who don't talk to me anymore because they realize I can't give them business.

I met readers who give me so much hate for my writing.

I am tired of it. I am tired of the negativity and circle jerking.

I am tired of how the so-called successful people are just stringing us little guys along while they make all the money.

So... here I am, in Steemit now.

I ain't leaving, okay? I am here to write for you still.

But yes... of course I am also here to invite you to join Steemit.

No, I don't make any money just because you sign up.

There's no member referral bullshitty system where people can exploit to only focus on recruiting and not contribute to the platform.

Yes, you CAN make money there simply by participating (by sharing and writing content.)

But you have to be well, a friggin human there. Steemit is not an overnight cure or quick cash system. You have to contribute. So my advice? Go there and have fun first.

Yes, it'd make me happy if you just go there and check it out.

Not to sound like a preachy, pompous jackass, but Steemit, is the future, at least I believe so.

I believe our society is evolving with the way we buy shit and pay for things.

I am not super savvy on the new, crypto economy, or the tech behind it, but shit, look at what's happening!

There're tons of tokens out there that are making real changes that're pretty cool.

But yeah there're tons of stupid dumb shit coins too. Please do your research before you invest.
