It made me think about what certain Steemit usernames could be worth in the future.
$600,000
That's what exchange.eth was auctioned for by Ethereum Name Service a decentralised domain register on top of the Ethereum blockchain.
Here are some others among many;
Foundation.eth $27,000
Weather.eth $9,000.
When Steemit reaches the potential we all see in it and the masses come flooding in with celebrities and big companies can you imagine the value some of these usernames could be worth.
What if someone has taken the username @amazon or @sony for instance.
If Steemit reaches the level of Facebook these companies will want those usernames to promote their products.
Can you imagine what Amazon would be willing to pay for that?
You'd be looking at potential millions.
Thinking about this makes me wish I'd have been more clever picking my username when I joined.
