Alienbutt's 1 year on steemit today post.

Thanks to @steemitboard for reminding me that I've been here on steemit for a year today.

So what a year it's been, with many milestones.
Watching as the price of steem as it dropped to $0.09 before pumping up back over a dollar and then climbing to $2.50 before dropping back down. It's been a rollercoaster ride when it comes to the money side of steemit.

Then there has been the drama and we've had a few, here's some of them.

The flag wars, the flagbots revenge.
The Ode of Asshole.
The rise and fall of steemsport.
Auto-vote-bots are a go at 1% power
porngate and the porn spammer.
The reward pool reset.

It seems that drama is the saga that fuels any social media platform but it's all been worth it.

Then there is me trying to figure out online trading and the continuing saga of Poloniex giving people heart attacks as transfers disappeared for weeks on end. Now having moved to a different exchange I find that transferring money into my real life bank account isn't so scary and my posts here have paid for some cool stuff for my family.

Repairing the decking.

A new BBQ and firepit.

And finally an ongoing project of a new bathroom for the house.

So there you have what a year on steemit can do, I came to steemit with no idea about crypto or blockchains and no real experience of blogging. I've posted my published stories, wrote fresh ones that are only here on steemit and posted about my life.
So thanks to everyone who have upvoted my posts and made a year on steemit so great.
