However, it should also be pointed out that it's useful to think and choose a meaningful account name (handle) because, as this is handled by blockchain it cannot be changed/deleted. This article explains a bit more:

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
