TRON News: Will Justin Sun buy the Steemit content platform?

in steemit •  5 years ago  (edited)

• According to a Chinese media outlet, Justin Sun is thinking of buying the Steemit.com content platform.

• This would allow TRON to expand its ecosystem beyond BitTorrent to include another widely used platform.

Justin Sun, founder of TRON, is known for his passion for investments and the creation of marketing hyperlinks. In the past, Sun bought the world's largest peer-to-peer platform, BitTorrent, which once handled up to 40 percent of the world's Internet traffic. According to recent reports, Sun could take over steemit.com.

Will you acquire TRON Steemit?
According to the Chinese news site huoxing24.com, Justin Sun is considering buying the Steemit content platform. The Mars Finance news platform states that it has learned from the sources responsible for the case that TRON is in the process of integrating Steemit into its ecosystem. In early December, Sun caused a sensation when he announced on Twitter that he was about to take over a large distributed platform.

The TRON Foundation recently announced that it is working with the POOL-X mining group, which has the financial support of Kucoin. However, this announcement does not fit what was announced in early December. According to Mars Finance, Justin Sun has announced two mergers completed through Weibo, also known as the Chinese Twitter. However, this message on Weibo was deleted shortly thereafter, so authenticity can only be speculated to some extent.

Steemit is a decentralized social media and blogging platform that is based on the Steem Blockchain and rewards users for its content by distributing the cryptocurrency of the same name. Steemit was founded in 2016 by Ned Scott and Dan Larimer.

Larimer also founded the BitShares cryptocurrency and is CTO of EOS. Steemit provides a censorship-resistant network in which authors can be rewarded for providing valuable Steemit content. TRON also wants to create a decentralized Web 4.0 where users can regain control over their data. Both companies share a similar vision.

However, so far there is no official statement from TRON or Steemit. In this sense, it is a rumor not confirmed at the moment.
