A tweet by the President created a huge stir in the media yesterday, it actually eclipsed news of Kathy Griffin's publicity stunt and Comey upcoming briefings. The tweet made news because of how it ended. The last word made no sense to viewers, the media could not find it's meaning and thought it was probably a typo. Interesting enough the media's own bias on Trump is revealed by this incident. Users on 4chan had spot yesterday their own well researched information. They found out that cov fe'fe in Arabic means: I will stand up. This is the original tweet:
As you can see if you were to replace "covfefe" with "I will stand up" you get "Despite the negative press I will stand up". The translation works it's somewhat incomplete but people who understand different languages know translations are never exact and one word can only translate so much. Even so it surprisingly fits well in the sentence. Where did Trump learn this word? Well Trump was just in a world tour where he went to Saudi Arabia first. Dina Powell is the U.S. Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy for the Trump administration and is Egyptian ancestry maybe she told him. Anyways it looks like Trump outsmarted the main stream media.
