On July 4th the media was anouncing that the reddit poster of the wrestling video meme had apologized for posting the meme. At face value it would seem he felt bad for CNN, but that makes no fucking sense. What did happen is that the reddit user named Hanassholesolo posted an apology to reddit. Later CNN anounced they had found contact information and tried to contact the poster on Monday and didn't get a response from him and later talked to him after he made the apology on Tuesday. They said he seemed remorseful and would never post anything racist or hurtful again. CNN said they would not post his identity but would if he posted anything they didn't like again. Here is CNN statement:
"CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change."
It would seem CNN blackmailed the Redditor after posting the story by their own statement. Jullian Assange of Wikileaks claims CNN broke the law violating 135.60 of the New York criminal code. What's also bizzare is the apology. Why would anyone apologize for posting a joke. In the apology the reddit user tries to prove to the public hes not racist and that he was posting for attention. It would seem he's afraid the political correct society judging him for posting memes because of CNN doxing him. CNN stating "CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change" tells us that doxxing him was there goal all along. Are we to believe CNN when they say they talked to the redditor after the apology.

Its pretty disgusting what CNN did there, the guy shouldnt have to apologise for this at all. We, the people, are free to make up our own minds about political statements and memes.
