The commercial mothers day.

Maybe it sounds inappropriate, but if they open their eyes they will support my thesis.

It bothers me that the assigned mothers' days we use to give our moms certain supposed gifts that would facilitate the work at home. For example:

Origen.

  • 😣 Mom, I give you this washing machine, with it you will not try so hard and the clothes will be cleaner.
  • 😣 Mom, I give you a blender, with it you will make good juices.
  • 😣 Mom, I give you an iron so that the clothes are impeccable.

Mom, ..., mom, ..., mom ...

Unconsciously, we are absorbed by the propaganda pressure and victims of advertising marketing, of marketing; we fall into the game of consumerism, of buying, buying, buying…

Mother's Day started in Greece, but with a very different sense from today. It goes back to ancient Greece and was to venerate the mother of Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto (God Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades respectively); the Goddess Rhea.

"The Romans called this celebration the Hilaria when they acquired it from the Greeks. It was celebrated on March 15 in the temple of Cibeles and for three days offers were made. The first Christians transformed these celebrations to the Mother Goddess in honor of the Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus".

Taken from Alfred LLópez, May 6, 2007.

You may have read that on the second Sunday in May, the death of "Anna Reeves Jarvis", mother of the founding mother's day initiative in the United States, is commemorated; true, the mother of Ana Jarvis died on the second Sunday of May of the year 1905; Since then, Ana Jarvis, from the United States, began a national campaign to establish a day dedicated entirely to mothers. The campaign was successful, and by 1910 it was already celebrated throughout the United States and neighboring countries.

In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson, in 1914, consecrated the proclamation of Mother's Day as a national holiday, to be celebrated on the second Sunday of May. And so it was adopted by many countries of the world as the International Date of "Mother's Day".

"Honoring motherhood was also characteristic of the cultures that populated Mesoamerica before the Conquest, one of which, the Aztec, worshiped the mother of her god Huitzilopochtli, the goddess Coyolxauhqui or Maztli, who was represented by the moon."

I did not find the author, but it is a textual quote from this publication.

Now, friends, do you know, what is the best gift you can give your mothers in life? ... Love, tolerance, unconditional support, respect ... But not only "mothers day", which here in Venezuela corresponds to the second Sunday of May. Friends, every day, our parents need us; it is in this life, the place and the moment in which we must give back the love, the love, the tolerance, the respect, the attention, ...; that we received, in those years that we were helpless.

It is our duty to honor our mothers. Origin.

A mother, sometimes with dad's roles; is the most sublime, sincere and genuine expression of love that you will ever find in other loved ones. Mother's love is unconditional; You can be the most perverse son, but she will be there, with her you will always count ...
