Following the initiative of pro blogger Meghan Naik, a team of 15 young and zestful writing enthusiasts consisting of bikers, photographers and sportspersons from Mangaluru who pledged to start employing their flair for writing are part of Steemit. They recently participated in the Steemit meet in Mangaluru.
Naik is one of the first Indians on Steemit platform. He explained how to use the platform, how the incentives work, tips to make the most of this new technology. Use of cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin in the Indian scenario was also disseminated to the gathering.
“I came across this platform a year ago and invested my time and effort in writing content and building a global community for Steemit. The idea is to help many users use of this new platform to their benefit. Steemit rewards its users for their attention, effort and engaging with its platform,” Naik said.
