Japanese Fanatic supporters........

Japanese champions Yozuru Hanyu chose to celebrate the Winter Olympics in the figure skier in a unique way - by drowning him with Winnie the Pooh bears.

The 23-year-old scored 111.68 points on Friday's men's singles skating short, the record Olympic record to make him the top spot before skating on Saturday.

The impressive performance was with a stray - and odd - response from supporters of the Olympic Human Rights Championships, who presented it with dozens of stuffed Winnie the Pooh games.

This was not the first time Hanyu was caught in the Bears' Reaction - fans skiers do so as a knot to his love for the character of A Milne Classic.

Earlier this week, Hanyu told reporters that we are not sure how to start the strange tradition.

"It happens every time and makes me happy," he said. "I'm always very grateful.

"I guess that's why I've always kept a box of tissue decorated with a stuffed pooh in a reincized, and when I really was a little I had a hat with a boo on it, and the fans just started doing it."

Due to the corporate sponsorship rules, the Olympians were not allowed to keep the booze tissue box reincized while it was competing.

However, that did not prevent his supporters bringing the Boo bears into the arena and sitting them on rolls as they saw.

Others dressed as the honey-loving bear or wore Pooh hats.

Supporters had not seen Hanyu skate since October following an injury, so they turned out in force at the Gangneung Ice Arena.
Young assistants collected the bears from the rink after Hanyu's record-breaking performance and some had their arms so full the toys spilled out.

The bears were heaped by the side of the rink, put into bags and will be donated locally.
