I'm trying to understand the SteemIt earnings system.
How is it that this article ( https://steemit.com/esteem/@good-karma/surfer-update-brings-point-rewards ) is earning SIGNIFICANTLY more than another article ( https://steemit.com/esteem/@good-karma/updated-esteem-mobile-2-1-for-ios ) -- which were written by the same author, with both posts having approximately the same engagement?
It's nearly the same engagement, as far as votes and comments are concerned. But earnings are night and day. What's the differing factor? Does the system also take "views" into account?
We have things called promotional services here or “bid bots” it’s when an author pays for votes.. that was done on the first you linked there.
As far as the system taking things into effect, the system does not just allocate rewards. Individuals or projects that hold Steem power “vote” and based on the amount of stake or Steem power they own, the vote differs.
