A professor is invited to speak on a military base. There he met a soldier who he would never forget, named Harry.
Harry was the one sent to pick up the professor at the airport. After introducing themselves to each other, they headed to the luggage compartment. When he walked out, Harry often disappeared. Many things are done. He helped an old woman whose suitcase fell. Then transport small children so they can see the scenery. He also helps those who are lost and show the right direction. Every time, he returned to the professor's side with his smile on his face.
"Where did you learn things like that?", Asked the profeor.
"Oh", said Harry. "During the war, I think".
Then he told the story of his assignment in Vietnam. Also when his duty is to clear the minefield, and how to watch one by one his friends are killed by a mine explosion in front of his eyes.
"I learned to live between the steps of each step," he said. "I never knew whether the next step was the last step, so I learned to do everything that I could do when I lifted and footed. Every step that I swing is a new world, and I think that's when I live like this. " Excessive life cannot be determined by how long we live, but the extent to which we live a quality life.
