I'm sure most of you who are new to Steemit has already realized that that in order to get that Steem, you first need attention. Now comes the problem... How in the hell can you get attention on Steemit? Now the next thing you might've done was look at trending posts and as you see those rewards go from tens to hundreds and sometimes even thousands you wonder if that could happen to yourself.
Well we got good news and bad news!
The good news is YES! you can be on the trending posts just like those folks!
The bad news is you'll either have to WORK IN or PAY IN
So, for those of you new to Steemit and would like PAY IN there are a few ways you could do this. The first being something fairly common which is.. Yup, you guessed it buying votes. There are plenty of people/bots on Steemit who are willing to sell their votes for SBD that crypto we all strive for.
The next method available for those of you looking to PAY IN is to buy Steem Power which will in turn increase how much your vote will be worth and once your posts have higher rewards this will then get more attention.
Now, it's time for the bad news. Well bad news for those of us who can't or won't, we gotta WORK IN!! Now I know.. I know you've been working on Steemit so hard but you still don't have any votes or views?! Well my friend I got one word for you. ATTENTION!! still not getting it? fine I'll give you three more words. Title, Sentence and Pictures!!
Still not getting it? fine I'll elaborate.
1. Title
The title you give your post is probably the biggest reason people will open your post so make sure that you make a catchy title.
2. Sentence
Now by sentence I mean the first few sentences of your post. This has to be unique and be able to catch the readers curiosity and by doing so the readers will be able to enjoy reading the rest of your post.
3. Pictures
Specifically the first picture which will be the thumbnail for your post. Now if your thumbnail picture fails to catch the readers attention then they'll just keep scrolling and ignore your post. Make sure to pick a picture that you think matches your post and could catch the readers attention.
So those are the three things you should remember when writing a post when trying to attract attention to your post. Now I'll be two things you should NOT do. EVER!!
1. Spam
This should be obvious as it is just don't do it. For God's sake don't spam! and if you are, stop!!
2. Plagiarize
For those of you who do not know what plagiarize mean it is the act of using material or content which does not belong to you also known as copy pasting someone else's stuff and even if the owner of the material or content did give permission to use it. Always make sure you cite or give credit to the owner and where you got the said material/content.
One more thing before I sign out. Never give up! try again and again and again till you make it!
Nobody ever said it would be easy but then again noting ever is in life and all we can do is to do the best we can wherever we can and hope for the best. Don't look for the easy way out you'll enjoy it more in the future when you've worked hard on it.
If it were easy everyone would be doing it.
If it were easy the big whales here on Steemit wouldn't be considered whales.
