Steemit, Hard fork 19 and the Minnows Support Project

Two weeks and a lot has changed on how I spend my time online, especially on social media.

1. Steemit.

Before I joined steemit, I would normally spend my idle moments browsing through facebook and instagram. If there is a post that I like, then I give it a thumbs up. I rarely comment. Now, for the past two weeks, my facebook friends could be thinking that I have gone on a sabbatical or something. 😁

I now spend more time on steemit, digging interesting articles, commenting, sharing and interacting with fellow steemians (or steemers I am still confused. 😂) I have had my fair share of first payout and a few more which I have gained just by interacting in this amazing community.

2. The Minnow Support Project

I first noticed the #minnowsupportproject after a few days of active steeming and got interested.

I bumped into @deveerei 's article and started reading more. She has a great infographic on how to use the upvoting intiative started by @aggroed to help little minnows like me prosper and get ready for the big swim to the ocean as whales.

More reading and following the discord channel (sorry, cant find that link now) and I have been assisted by patient moderator @gmuxx (is that how you are called? Sorry. 😂) and @aggroed to be registered to @minnowsupport #minnowsupportproject

I even found today another very helpful tutorial by @rhondak https://steemit.com/minnowsupport/@rhondak/tutorial-for-palnet-registration which is very informative, made me realize that i missed the 3rd step!

3. Hard fork 19

Ohhh! As if almost 2 weeks of reading about steem, steem power, SBD, upvote is not enough, here comes #HF-19. This is too overwhelming and my brain is now slowly malfunctioning from processing too much information. I will dwell more on this later on. Right now, what I know is that it does not make much of a difference for me since I do not have that much steem power yet but it could have a great impact on my future payouts (correct me if I am wrong) thereby enabling me to buy more steem! wink!

Ps- sorry for the typos, been steeming through my mobile phone (blame the fat fingers!)

Please follow me, upvote and resteem!

Cheers,

As far as I understand you, you write at the beginning of the message a story about the beginning of your journey to steemit (this is the story and happened to me), left all the work and sail here! But it's so exciting, unusual - I started writing ..... and thanks for reading my comments. Little by little, we learn to swim in steemit. If you do not violate the rules, float in clear water steemit.

So glad my tutorial helped. :-)

Yeah, it really did! I am sure it's gonna help a lot of confused minnows like me. 😂

Congratulations! This post has been upvoted from the communal account, @minnowsupport, by arrliinn from the Minnow Support Project. It's a witness project run by @aggroed, @ausbitbank, @teamsteem, @theprophet0, and @someguy123. The goal is to help Steemit grow by supporting Minnows and creating a social network. Please find us in the Peace, Abundance, and Liberty Network (PALnet) Discord Channel. It's a completely public and open space to all members of the Steemit community who voluntarily choose to be there.

Helpful post. This will help people who don't know some of the information.
Minnow to Whale. Keep steeming.

Thank you! Steem on minnows, steem on! 😉

Nice article @arrliinn

Thanks!😉

Thanks for the info. I am going to check out the minnowsupportproject.

Thank you. They have lots of initiatives that you may be interested in...

Oh I have been noticing that they have a lot of initiatives. I may not participate in them for a while though. I want to see what I can do on my own as a challenge to myself. I do like what I am seeing and will most likely post about it, because it will help those around me. I am a sucker for helping others. lol
