I just wanted to take a second and say how greatful I am for Steemit and the Steemit community!

As an artist, it is difficult to find new ways to promote both yourself and the art community as a whole. Steemit has allowed me to share my thoughts, adventures, questions and advice with a whole new audience and platform. I love the fact that Steemit has allowed fellow creatives (and really anyone who is passionate about anything) to make some sort of income while creating content that is helpful, entertaining and educational.

Let me explain my gratitude on a deeper and more dramatic level...This day and age seems to have lost focus when it comes to quality. How do most people spend their time? On their phones or in front of some sort of screen. I am just as guilty as the rest. It’s almost like some sort of weird, robotic nervous habit. Waiting in line, stopped at a red light, trying to fall asleep, sitting in class...there are a million scenarios where we feel some sort of lull in life and habitually pull out our phones and just start reading mindless junk.

Most of us are guilty of taking the idiotic quizzes...”What color of unicorn are you?” “Which real housewives of Orange County are you?” “What percentage of dragon are you?”...you know what I’m talking about.

Most of us are guilty of clicking on headlines that we honestly could care less about...”The Kardashians are just like us, find out how ” “The pink fairy armadillo is becoming extinct” (that’s a real animal that I recently heard of and am now obsessed) “How often do House plants really need to be watered?” .... you get the picture.

(These examples are not real headlines or quizzes, they were all made up...by me and my sleep deprived mind.)

My point is that the majority of the blog and content sites out there are full of useless trash that we can’t help but take the bait and click on.

Steemit is a whole different animal.

For the most part, Steemit consists of quality posts from people who are passionate about something. People who have taken time out of their lives to write, take photos of and research various topics and rarely ever disappoint.

So thank you to all of YOU and to Steemit for creating such a high quality social feed and platform. This level of excellence is finally being recognized! I mean, just look at the Steem value today! Over $7, just amazing!!

2018 is going to be amazing to us all...I can feel it in my veins.
