I don't use too many things to write online, actually, I try to minimize everything so I can have a better control over my blogging.
Aside from the Reddit, Quora and a few news websites, I don't spend too much time reading online, and to be absolutely honest my favorite place is Twitter and YouTube, regardless of the topic I may investigate.
- Blogger - This is my first blogging platform which I started to use almost instantly years ago. I found out that this one serves me the best, regardless of many others ( for example the WordPress) which are maybe even better in terms of the SEO or programming. The thing is that I like the Blogger because of the simplicity. This doesn't mean that I don't know to use, design or program any other. In fact, I am quite comfortable with the Wordpress and Tumblr, but the thing is that I actually care very little to have such a thing. I also tried other blogging platforms and the forum programs, but an each and every time I found myself returning to the Blogger so I decided to stick with it. Today I have my curated video blog hosted on the Blogger, some random topical blogs, and my lyrics blog as well.
- GitHub - is great from the side you can fork whatever you need and learn on the go. I used Jekyll, a free theme, and some simple scripts to host a functional blog that quite frankly does what it suppose to do and I never experienced any problems with it till this date.
- Steemit - is beyond any doubt the best social blogging website that I have found till now, and I tried the pretty good number of the websites that tried to stay afloat and tried to satisfy the population, but eventually, they failed.
I don't post too much because I still have to reach the full capacity in Steemit blogging, so to say I take it pretty lighthearted when it comes to writing in here.
- YouTube - I consider a blogging platform in video format. As I already have the Blogger why not to expand to the videos as well?
My hugest surprise was when I realized that people actually watch what I post on my channels, even if it felt like the no-go.
- Twitter - is the microblogging platform, but it is also my favorite social network. Aside how many times I had some dumb occurrences in the past ( remember the chain messages you never sent ages ago?), it actually served me exceptionally good either as a link sharing platform, news website or simple outlet for my rants.
- Instagram - believe it or not, I use this 'thing' to post my artistic inclines or simply to brainwash myself by reading others - I use it to post poetry or some fashion related stuff. I still have to find out how the people earn with it because for me it is on the level of the science fiction.
Which one is your favorite and why?
