I recently started contributing to the Steem Center ( @steemcenterwiki) which is the wiki of all the things STEEM. If things turn well, I will invite my #diehardsteemit members to this gig as well.
Literary a contributors on the Steem.Center are building a page together. And it is a paid gig. We share the reward.
PLEASE READ THIS TO THE END BEFORE YOU BOUNCE THERE COMPLETELY UNINFORMED.
Now, this morning while I was drinking coffee an idea crossed my mind.
You see, the wiki article I made there about DSound was edited and formatted by somebody else.
Because the reward cut was never determined, I guess that contributors share an equal part.
The problem is NOT if the article was edited with substantial information and content.
The problem is if it was edited by bolding text and adding a few more links in the reference area, so practically ALL THE MINOR CHANGES.
In other words, a writer can make an official-size wiki-article ( which is usually around 2000 words plus) and somebody will come, put a bold text, a link and claim 50%.
A person apparently doesn't need to write anything. In the original text which I made, one sentence was put as an addition, which once again adds absolutely nothing to the content.
I want to know, how @steemcenterwiki are calculating rewards ( and I want to put a decision how it should be calculated on a public vote) because I am sure the others are wondering the same thing.
We all get an upvote from the @steemcenterwiki official account, that part is fine, but a major question remains.
If it is 50%/50% that does not favor my part of the work, and I am not willing to contribute under those conditions because I find them rock bottom unfair.
I placed a comment and a question under their article Announcing a new wiki article about DSound created, one about Steemit Chat updated and new donation received and I will be expecting their answer, hopefully, it will be reassuring for the writers and most of all fair.

Hmmm, interesting... I was told about steemcenter some time back, but haven't contributed anything yet. What you brought up is valid... Waiting to hear about the result.

Hm. I was not aware of Steemit.Center. I'll have to check it out. Sounds like it is definitely having some growing pains though. I hope that gets sorted out for you.

@steemcenterwiki gave an answer to my question in here: https://steemit.com/steemcenterwiki/@steemcenterwiki/announcing-a-new-wiki-article-about-dsound-created-one-about-steemit-chat-updated-and-new-donation-received#@steemcenterwiki/re-aschatria-re-steemcenterwiki-announcing-a-new-wiki-article-about-dsound-created-one-about-steemit-chat-updated-and-new-donation-received-20180214t161015011z
They take all the instances in consideration, so that the reward share is calculated fairly.

That does not seem fair at all... If I was in your shoes I would be mad as hell :) I hope they figure out a better way because sooner or later they will lose quality contributors and get stuck with the other ones :)
Thanks for mentioning this btw, I did not know there was a Steem.center Wiki, it sounds like a thing with great potential, hope it goes well. Fingers crossed and good luck 💚
