IF YOU DID NOT CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD AFTER THE HACK DO IT NOW

DO IT https://steemit.com/steem/@ash/steem-how-to-create-store-and-change-a-secure-password

seems like the hacker got more accounts in the hack than steemit thought, and he's milking the last of them as we speak.

I might add that it's borderline for some big accounts to not change their passwords immediately after the hack was known. you guys had it coming.

Thank you for the info ash, i have changed now, would be nice to steem to have too a 2 auth option for non crypto related new users

And don't change it to: verylongpassword2

I think security is high priority right now :)

yes, why isnt this already implemented?

The system won't let me log in to change my owner account. It just says "wrong password" if I try to log in. And I am missing the link in the permissions page to login to my owner account.

My owner key isn't showing?

Thank you. I changed. lets hope everyone follows you advice or we are going to have some sad steemers

yes please. spread the word

I thought steemit doesn't store any passwords? Or is that new? (I just signed up)

it does not store, but it needs your password for actions. however, they are going to change this in today's upgrade, there will be an account restore function implemented

Cheers Ash. I was wondering how to change it and have now done so. Feeling safe tonight haha.

good job :)

I have changed mine yesterday morning after reading about the hack.

very good!

I do not have that little pencil image to click on when I go into my permissions. How do I change my password without it?

Hum this is strange... Looks like steemit disabled it

why can't we use 2FA?
At altcoin markets be attacked often we can use with security.
