Jan Koum, co-founder and CEO of WhatsApp, resigned from the company and from the board of directors of Facebook, Reuters and Associated Press reported on Tuesday (1/5). Koum's resignation is suspected as a result of a dispute concerning the confidentiality of user data.
"It's been almost a decade since Brian and I built WhatsApp. This is an incredible journey with some of the best people, Koum said in uploads on his Facebook account, as quoted by Reuters. He referred to Brian Acton, co-founder of the most popular messaging service with users over 1 billion people per day.
