The task of TESS satellites is to find "exoplanets" that orbit a sun, like our solar system, and find out whether the planets can sustain life. To find such planets, TESS satellites will measure the sunlight or the star to see if there is a decrease in brightness occurring on a regular basis. If it is found, it can be inferred, the decrease in light is due to the planet or planets orbiting it.
