The above was taken from @penguinpablo's post about 2 days ago as of the time writing this. Here's his post: Steem Stats Report - Friday, October 12 - 5,134 new accounts. It is a chart of new Steem accounts.

Check the screenshot below, taken from @penguinpablo's post.

On the post as you can see there are 5,134 new accounts created on October 11, 2018.

Yes there are lots of Steemians became inactive. But if majority of the new accounts became active, I think it is a big help for the Steem's growth. :-)

I have 3 newbie friends: @ninong - he's a senior high school student, the nephew of @el-dee-are-es, @apenny - he's my officemate, he still don't have an intro post 'cause he don't know what to write but he's on dlike, @alleinnahd - I don't know her personally, she's a newbie an a member of steemitachievers, here's her intro post: Introduce Myself.
