I've been a fan of this guy since he first appeared with his "Dark Tips" over 2 decades ago now (damn I'm old).
I witnessed the rise and fall of Digg and Diggnation , and I've missed his face since.
I'm super excited and proud to have Kevin here on Steemit - to have him recognise the value and utility of what we're creating here is a big milestone that I just had to record for the blockchain.
I hope everyone will give our new steemian @krose a warm welcome, a follow and keep an eye out for his introduction post!

Discussions are happening about a threshold amount set by the recipient before memos are displayed by default - effectively allowing you to set a price to read people's messages. This will solve this issue for most people, but in the meantime it's no worse then the background spam an active FB or Twitter account gets (better, even)

Hopefully more of his kind will follow in short time. The more that give a shit about our uncertain utter that come here the better chance we have at making a difference. I actually jumped on your page because recently one of my favorite people on the globe, someone whose views I share and ideals I greatly respect announced that he's chosen you as his proxy. I was hoping to get a better sense of you. Would it be at all possible for you to write an About Me at some point? Something that clearly defines what your goals as a witness are, the projects you're involved in, and most importantly who you are as an individual? Or if you have already done something like this, a re-posting of it would be great.
steemit is still very young but I know at some point it is going to be HUGE. And at that point it will be extremely important for people to have some idea of who the witnesses are. So along with suggesting people to vote as witness at the bottom of my posts, a link to an article outlining these things would be extremely helpful.
