One of the amazing things about Steemit is its ability to build a community while also creating investment opportunities for all Steemians - even those known as Minnows who have just joined Steemit and don't have much Steem Power yet.
In this Post I will examine how it is possible to set up your account to take advantage of various free SBD offers, not only from this Blog, but also others such as @fogel, @karmashine, @littlehelper, @minnow.helper, @ralph-rennoldson, and @simplemoney, all of which, like @auskiwi, only require an Upvote for payout, so are suitable for adding to an auto upvoting service like Steemvoter.com or Streemian.com. This allows you to have a stream of passive investment income coming in, requiring little or no work apart from the initial setup on the upvoting service.
For other sources of free steem, which require other actions such as Following, Commenting, or Resteeming, you can check out this Post, which I wrote last month. I will be publishing a new Post later this week with an updated Free Steem Giveaways List, as these offers change quite often, and some in the last Post are no longer valid.

Now to the investment side of the equation. There are three aspects to this. The one which most Steemians are aware of, is the gradual incrementation of the Steem Power balance in your Steemit account, allowing you to gradually increase your Curation and Author Rewards over time.
The other opportunity which I recently became aware of, is the @TipU service, which allows you to share in the profits of the TipU tipping service. You can transfer SBD to @tipu and receive a regular incrementation on your investment. This deposit can be withdrawn at any time.
The third opportunity you have as a Steemian, is to do exactly what I am doing with this Post - sharing the profit with anyone who decides to upvote YOUR posts. I like to think of this as Curation Reward Plus - it's adding that extra 0.001 SBD or more to the Curation Reward that normally accrues when you upvote someone's post. It's amazing how many Upvotes you will get when other Steemians see that you are willing to share your profits with them.
It's also amazing how much more effort you will put into posting once you start getting Upvotes. I need to make something very clear though, if you do what some users do, and get greedy about this process, quickly copying and pasting the same post 4 times a day, you WILL get blacklisted by a whale and all your profits will vanish. You need to put original content into every Post - it doesn't have to be on any particular topic - it can be about anything you desire but it has to be YOUR content and every Post has to be different.
As always, if this Post is more than 7 days old, don't waste your Upvote as you won't get the free 0.001 SBD. Plus it weakens your voting power so that you don't get much Curation Reward either. You can check below left to see how many days ago this Post was published.

Fairly new to steemit and had no idea about these services, got a payout from my miner tonight and am going to buy some steem, but good to see ways to get it free.

Thank you for the great post. There is so much to learn. I'm commenting to thank you but also so I can find this post again easily to re-read it and really study what you've suggested. I've been on steemit since June but I still feel like such a newbie!
