How to invest on steemit?

I have around 1000 INR in my uphold wallets. What I want to do with it is to invest in steem and power up my profile. The thing is I have no idea how I could do it nor I can find any information to transfer from uphold to my steemit profile. If any one can help then please comment on this post.
