Do you remember what happened to Myspace when FB arrived on the scene? Steemit is what FB was to other social media sites back then and now FB days are numbered!

Either those sites will have to adapt within the year or they will go out of business. If not at the very least loose a lot of their business.

There is a coins called Reddcoin that is a fraction of a penny and trying to break the social media markets by being their official coin but none of the social sites have agreed to business with them which means that there are other cryptos that are likely to come in this market.

Also check out Brave Browser the co founder of Firefox and inventor of JavaScript is the CEO and they have a similar model of paying users to use their sites and users can donate the coins to the websites and content users they which to promote to. Cause the web browser is an automatic ad blocker and the business plan is that in the futures advertisers can pay them money to have their ads show up . Right now you can watch YouTube videos on their without any commercials before and during the. Videos which is becoming annoying

Many times its hard for giants to adapt, but you never know stranger things have happened.

This has been a long time coming, so don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen immediately. I believe it will take a coordinated effort between several large audience draws to simultaneously shift their viewers here.

Start lobbying big name bloggers to switch their platform, and we'll likely see this sooner rather than later.

I agree, once we hit a tipping point it will seem like Steemit was an overnight success. Early adopters will all know the work that went into it to make it happen.

don't forget facebook had at one point only one 1 account and that was mark zuckerberg

Very good point

Don't forget about his Mossad roomates that helped him.

Yup, us early adopters are driving automobiles on roads meant for horses. Once we blaze this trail, the others will follow suit.

I love that comparison, its so true!

I believe in Steemit too but i think Facebook is very too big to fall.
They have a lot of information about the population and a lot of money.
I sincerely hope I am wrong. I want to see Facebook fall

Its all based on the users they have and if those users exit they no longer have a product. With continued development and improvements we will push forward.

I sincerely hope

I agree! Let's do this

Right on man!

I agree .. we all could do that

The fact that you are here is a testament to that!

Deal, I'm in!

Glad to have you on board!

I don't want Steemit to turn as dumb as Facebook has become though, but a takeover would be nice!

I do not think we will have to worry about that as much on Steemit. Some of the most forward thinking and brightest minds are early adopters on Steemit.

Yes you're right, it seems to be a better community on here. Let us conquer then! ☺️

i am in :)

Glad to hear it!

Steemit is awesome so far, and I just got here. But you are comparing two different types of websites IMO.

Either way, I don't use Facebook anymore. I'm confident people will use it less and less in the coming years. Lack of privacy & narcissism somehow became a social norm over the past 10 years - but I think this will eventually reverse itself a great deal.

Glad to see more people getting off FB, its really mostly a waste of time. What would you compare a site like Steemit to?

I love this attitude! :) I hope it turns out prophetic

Very possible given enough time and epic updates

Possible it absolutely is. Likely yet it is not. But yeah, let's do what we can to get there :)

Agree. If users from Facebook, start using steemit, this would be a game changer, since everybody will use steemit instead. Facebook market cap. is more than 400B and users did not received a dime.

It would be a win for Steemit and a win for all the people that join Steemit.
