We adopt the smart contracts of blockchain technology and the cryptograph blockchain model, Hawk , to design the blockchain-based lottery system, FairLotto, for future smart cities applications. Fairness, transparency, and privacy of the proposed blockchain-based lottery system are discussed and ensured.
