You are so lucky fall in the "Three Hundreds Era". I first heard about Bitcoin on middle July last year. That time BTC price was around USD 664 "Six Hundreds Era" but not soon later on Aug 2, 2016 BTC price suddenly drop to 552.82 USD as recorded on Coindesk.com due to "Bitfinex hack".
