The last time I posted on facebook is the same date as my discovering of the “game changing platform” (steemit). I login to facebook today to check if anything has really changed in the way the platform works and I mean; the way my friends interact, the way people post and possibly maybe a reward scheme has been initiated (I mean maybe facebook has got her own graphene blockchain, cryptocurrency and has started rewarding users).
But nothing interesting has really change on facebook since the last time I posted, except that there are now more emoji’s reaction options to post like sad, love, like, haha and those childish stuff :).
You can also now post using color image background like this below.
And Zuckerberg believe this is innovation?
All my Facebook friends seems to have been stagnant though many of them seems to believe they are making progress as their number of likes on photos and posts has greatly increased compared to what it use to be 3 months ago.
Before my discovering of steemit, I had honestly been in search for a platform to write articles daily even if I don’t get paid for it, I just wanted to write so the world could see my mind directly. Writing makes my mind transparent because I write things I’m thinking and I reversely think things that I write.
But nobody was appreciating my writings on facebook, I became use to getting few likes and maybe 1 share after investing a lot of time writing stuff I thought could help my friends. I think the problem is in the way the platform was designed and the mentality of my friends.
On facebook i have very few white friends, most of my friends are my Nigeria brothers and what most of them come to do on facebook is to chat and chat until there is nothing to chat again.
The platform was like designed for jobless people (it's a mentality not a reality) to meet jobless people so they could chat away their life and then complain about how government is impoverishing her citizens.
I wanted a platform where my writings would be appreciated and I will not feel like I am bad writer after all because that's how i feel writing on facebook.
How Did I Get Here?
One day in June this year, I was searching and watching youtube videos on the best altcoins to trade in 2017 when I came across a video by @cryptonick the smart 17 year old investor, trader and bitcoin believer.
In his video description on youtube he dropped a link to his steemit blog which I followed and it landed me here. I bookmarked the page that day because it was plainly; love at first sight.
I fell in love with steemit, the first time I found myself on this platform. It was funny how I was telling a friend how much sense steemit makes the day after my discovering and he asked me: How much have you made on the site? And I replied; I haven’t sign up yet because i just discovered the site yesterday but I believe this is what I have been looking for.
I have no regret so far ever since making that simple decision to invest a lot of time into steemit and my love for steemit keep growing stronger everyday.
I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone that has been with me right from day one and supporting me. I appreciate you all and i promise not to turn back but continue to make you guys proud.
Thank You.
most times when i visit Facebook now, i am always writing about steemit.

My Facebook account is jealous of my Steemit account. The same thing happened to me and many others who have discovered Steemit. Goodbye Facebook, it was good to know you but I'm in love with Steemit now.
Welcome and have fun.

Thanks boss
I'm glad i'm not the only one that fell in love with steemit and divorced facebook instantly. I have a lover mate at least :)
Thanks for reading my little piece and giving me that support.
I appreciate boss

The thing with Facebook and similar social media channels is that they're somehow a little superficial - no offense to anyone - but that's how I generally feel. There's more acceptance of classy pictures and check ins and memes than there is of genuine heartfelt ideas, experiences and writing.
What it boils down to I guess is the pure essence of your own intention of following a specific site, whether it's your passion or a way to pass time. Steem is incredibly supportive and encouraging to everyone in the most amazing of ways. People here are honest and true, and ever since I've joined I've learned so much, not just about people from all over the globe, but about my own self, and it's oddly liberating. I wouldn't be surprised if everyone felt this way about Steem, and forgot Facebook etc. after joining here.

Yes dear, great contribution you have here. What you want will depend on the platform that best favour you, but generally steemit makes more sense in time of return on your time investment than any social media platform currently existing
