It was fine a couple hours ago, I always follow double or more the amount of people that follow me. @thecryptofiend said the same thing today and he lost 90% of his followers. I came on to check a message, saw his post, checked my page, it is true, look below! Even the Steemwhales.com which is out of date for the "followed" column shows me at around 200, and same with steemdb.com and another account shows me around 320 followed.

Are you having this issue? Many of us have worked super hard to find good people we like to support and engage! I hope this can be fixed!!!!
If this glitch has you now off my list, I am sorry! I didn't do it! I blame Big Government! lol!! Let me know! Let me know if I am off your lists etc also!!

Possible fix may be to LOGOUT of your steemit account and log back in - it is unsure if that is a complete fix, or just a screen refresh at this point
FIX FOR FOLLOWER LOSS: Log out then log back in, your account will be back to normal.

So far I have not been at a pc today to really check the numbers since more life problems keep hitting this year. But I've been on esteem and as far as I can see the numbers still look correct for me.

When I visit my "invisible" followees, however, the page header still has a reassuring "Unfollow" button on top...

May well be the case. Also SteemDB shows the right number - the snapshot is only a few minutes old so it suggests the blockchain is correct and this is a display issue.

BTW, another (probably related) symptom is that in some cases, when I'm looking at a Reply/Comment of someone who I follow, it doesn't reflect the fact that I'm following them. However, when I go to their Blog page, it does indicate me as a follower by displaying an "Unfollow" button.
