The Hidden Gems of Crypto and How They Saved My Family

My name is Bieber and I am here to share my real life story about how crypto saved my family, literally!

This is my first post on Steemit so I believe I owe you an introduction before we move on to the good stuff. I am a husband and father of one. I worked in an advertising agency for 9 years in Hong Kong but I quit my job last December to become a full-time crypto trader.

Life wasn’t easy before. Like many white collar individuals, I had spent the almost a decade of my life working a lifeless eight to eight (8am to 8pm) job that had earned me nothing but a tiny apartment that looked like this.

If you have ever lived in Hong Kong, you would know that a mere 400 sq ft bare apartment can easily cost $700k to $1 million in US dollars.

The Flippening

When my daughter, Amy, turned five back in May 2015, our living quarters became so cramped up that it was difficult for the three of us to stand up together. I remember one evening while we were having dinner, one of the wall shelves collapsed and cut into Amy's face badly on the way down. There just wasn’t enough room in the apartment for Eli to evade the falling shelf. My wife and I took her to a 24-hour clinic where she received four stitches on her tiny right cheek. The poor girl cried all night until she could hardly breathe.

Later that night, I asked my wife if we should consider moving to a bigger apartment but she said we simply could not afford it unless she gets a second job at the cleaners nearby. Hearing her say that made me feel devastated. How could I ask my wife to bear two jobs? It was at that moment I knew that my job was never going to be enough and I had to do find another way to get what my family deserves.

I started seeking advice from my colleagues about investing in stocks and commodities but none of them had any experience. I was desperate and driven at the time so I spent a lot of late nights learning everything I could about trading from the Web and that was when I found out about Bitcoin. After a few months of trading simulation, I plucked up the courage and bought my first bag of bitcoins using most of my life savings. I believe it was trading at a little over $200 at the time and by the end of 2015, I had already doubled my savings.

Can you believe it? It took me less than 3 months to gain the same amount of money that I had spent 9 years of my work life saving.

The Hidden Gems of Crypto

Crypto trading has blessed me with a good life -- the comfort of working at home (we rented a bigger one now), a steady income and more importantly, I get to spend more quality time with my family -- a life that was beyond my dreams had I not started trading crypto.

This is how our new apartment looks like. Oh, did I mention my kid now has her own room? The look on her face was priceless when she found out about her room.

Like all rookies, I made some painful mistakes but quickly learned from them. However, my real gains did not come until I discovered altcoins -- the hidden gems of crypto trading! While bitcoin gave me the foundation to build my confidence, it was the alts that helped me build my small fortune and elevated our lives to a better one, a normal one!

Seeing how much our lives have changed over a period of two years has led me to believe that maybe I could do the same for others. One way to do this is by sharing my personal trades with everyone on Steemit.

Starting from tomorrow, I will post my personal trades as a reference for anyone interested in crypto trading. I will tell you which hidden gem I am banking on, why I choose them and where I set my targets. I will do this at least once a week. You don't have to pay me anything.
