When I first found this site, I was skeptical of what it could be. Could this be the a money trap? Or a great opportunity to make money? The answer I found was both. With the 1% that hold the majority of the steem & the way just a few of them can manipulate the price scares me. It makes me not even want to invest, but at the same time invest. Weird right ? If you follow the certain experiments being conducted especially by whales, the price tends to steady, rise or fall. With that being said I'm glad I've made money back, 2x profit to be exact!
Moving on to other altcoins. I've found that Komodo & factom, might be my safe haven. While I sit on my steem power & steem dollars, after selling 98% my steem to invest in other ventures.
In conclusion, I love this site & wish one day we could have a Crypto-Economy that doesn't mimic the actual economy. Especially of the 99% vs 1% ratio ,but I don't think that pipe dream will come true anytime soon.Don't think I'm leaving anytime soon my daily vlog will be up today !

This is Steemit Beta. It already have the fastest transaction system for money in the world. The best wallet I have ever seen, so easy, no updates and you can not loose it if you keep your "owner key" in cold storage.
The interface is old fashion, but that will be fixed.
The way I see it, it will be the biggest on the internet. It will only take some time as all real things do.

This has to be the sixth post I've read today, that talks about the division between whales and the rest of us.
I really hope that the Steemit devs are paying attention. Honestly, this topic has become so prevalent I don't see how they couldn't notice the trend that this axiom has taken on.
As the posts come so have I played the comment pontiff, but it has to be discussed because this is obviously not viable economicly. Crypto-currency was intrinsically created to move away from fiat currencies in part, as an answer to the great monetary divide.
As you stated, all STEEM is doing is creating a real world scenario of a financial system that has already proven may times over that it is not working.
Crypto-currencies will be the standard. I don't see the future in my crystal ball so I don't know when obviously, but it is the truth. STEEM needs to decide whether they want to be apart of that future or not.
And the whales need to stop being so miopic. What's the point of holding all of that STEEM if you're not going to circulate it in a way that benefits the community, which in turn benefits the price. Instead they're going to end up a bunch of bag holders with salty cheeks.

I think you should buy more steem, it has a tendency to be volatile like all cryptos, since they are so cheap, but they fly more too, look at dash, 4$ maybe 7$ steem was at 4$ once too, I think the 7 cent price was a good time to buy millions :D ~100k to be a whale, that could jump to 4mils, doesn't that sound insane :) 100$ worth of upvote :) I think then we wouldn't have so much problems :D if of course people are responsible with that "power" and they don't crash and burn the spaceship in some void flag shit :D
