Sharing Steemit In A Tangible Way
We as a community all know that steemit is an awesome platform where you can be yourself and have your voice heard. We are a very nonjudgmental group as a whole.
The problem is far too many people still have no idea about steemit, or believe it to be a scam.
What better way to prove the naysayer and uninformed than by purchasing an item for them in the physical world (outside of the cryptosphere, which so many of us cryptofiends enjoy). I am going to use some of (not all as I still have some bills and expenses) the funds received from this post to purchase a bunch of business cards like the mock up below.
I then plan on buying coffees for a bunch of people and telling them about steemit and giving them a business card to go along with it. That is just my suggestion, but you could purchase $5 dollar gift cards or any other creative ideas you have. What better way to show appreciation for @ned and @dan for the success they have allowed so many people to have, than to share their platform we all love with many other people. The future of steemit is in all of the early adopters hands and we can choose to make it or break it.
I am excited to see sort of results I receive. And while I would love to get new users to join if they are interested, at the very least people will have a positive connotation with steemit from being given something free with no expectation of needing to give anything back. There should be more people paying it forward, and as we grow in this ecosystem I have found that the most successful people are those who invest their time and earned rewards into others.
You can view steemit in one of two basic ways (there are others, but I'll keep it simple)
- As a short term place to get a bit of money and get out
- A platform where you have the opportunity to invest time and money in others to make them successful and change lives permanently. And while you are investing as much as possible in others, you yourself become successful
It's been said before, but "Come for the money, Stay for the community definitely rings true"
A quick little photoshop mockup of our potential fiat dollars for steemit in the future and a deepest sincere thanks to @ned and @dan for creating Steemit and deciding to have users have the ability to be rewarded in such a unique way that is different than any other platform.
@dan
@ned
Hope this post has inspired a few people to adopt the same strategy or given them an inspiration to go out and spread the world about steemit. Feel free to comment, as I always respond to all comments. (I am only a slightly rotund minnow, so I have plenty of time to chat with anyone)
Personally I'd prefer to be on a Two Dollar bill.

:) That's make you unique! Always appreciate your posts by the way @eeks and we usually wind up appearing in the comments of some really great posters I've noticed.

Haha glad you appreciated my sense of humor there, but I truly am indebted to them for this platform. I was at a time in my life where I had no drive and was depressed. Writing and allowing my creativity to flow here and gaining confidence are things that I would not have had without this platform. I know many people talk about steemit just being a circle jerk of positive posts about steemit to gain whale votes, but everything I post is from the heart and I'd be happy to respectfully defend steemit to any user who has a negative view of steemit.
