I have had a think about all the comments in my previous post, about the position I was in support of and also what some smarter people than me have pointed out. I find that I'm in a position now where the confidence I had in what I was saying has waned somewhat. I thought I was being helpful.
Suffice to say that the technical complexities around the migration of Steem, Steemit and the rest into EOS are considerable and as yet, unresolved. The assumptions I made about the similarity between Steem, bitshares and EOS were clearly superficial. My apologies to the Steemit and independent devs for so readily assuming it could be done, clearly my technical knowledge has profound limitations. I was aware of them, but it's easy to fall for a concept when you want to believe in it.
So, my apologies if I shocked or worried anyone. That couldn't have been further from my intention.
There may come a time where migration could be considered, but it is probably too soon. We presently have a strong, vibrant, growing and unique community and, as many of you have shared the sentiment....If competition arrives, let it. Perhaps this is enough to take us through.
If you feel you must flag my previous post to reduce the rewards, go right ahead. I shall not be offended.
I do wonder how Steemit.inc will reduce the domination of the Steemit account as it still seems like an issue. But that is for a different discussion now.
All is not lost, I had a great chat with many of you :) Thank you @eeks
Right then, back to Steeming, nothing to see here! I'm off to bed now so if you do comment, I'll do my best to get back to you on the morrow.
Happy Steeming
Great work and I don't see anything wrong. This is what social network is all about.

Much respect for the update! To be honest I did not even know the @steemit account existed until I read your post. I still have very much to learn but don't we all? This tech is impoving and progressing at a rapid pace it's difficult to stay on top of the latest and greatest. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and have a goodnight!

If distribution of stake is an issue and people want to play on a fairer playing field where they can get more accurately rewarded for their content then EOS will knock something up.
If people see something on EOS as better, then people will migrate. Simple as, the shifting sands of crypto are fickle.
If content creators have more exposure... then it's an absolute no brainer. Steemit is pretty fragile once a competitor with the clout of EOS comes in.

I'm confused, I thought you thought my concerns about a competitor in EOS were all hype. I mean, I agree with your points. But, if a migration of steem is technically not possible currently and there are not enough benefits in perusing it, then there is no point in worrying about it. Those with the means can invest in any new social media app within EOS and everyone else is free to work within or belong to whatever they prefer.
