Can someone tell me please why my FOLLOWERS are increasing but my POST has very small amount of UPVOTES.
And what are they following me for?

I agree.. There are often even more comments on my posts than upvotes.. its strange... Hopefully my followers realize that I appreciate all there votes, even if they have a small account and don't have much influence in the steemit community, they still help my blog get seen and supporting my efforts by upvoting..

I don't think it's obvious how to upvote. Last time I gave up when I wanted to upvote, but now I realized it's the arrow next to the dollar sum. There's nothing next to the number of votes.
