What I already don't like about Steemit

I'm very curious about this Steemit plaform, i do like the encryption and the blockchain tech. But what I really don't like is the need to use a mobile phone to even get an account created.

Maybe if I would have signed up a year ago I wouldn't have cared, but as it happens I'm currently making serious toughts to get rid of my mobile phone. I've had it with the damn thing... I'm sick and tired of it. But now I signed up with steemit and to my horror there was no option for people who do not have a mobile phone.
WTF?

Really, WTF!?

So as a constructive feedback to the developers I would like them to consider a better alternative. Also as an option for people who already have an account and got rid of their mobile phone, can they do somekind of password recovery?

And to people who don't have a walky-talky / time, money and energy wasting device (aka smartphone) in their pocket who want to sign up with steemit.

Tough luck my friends, it seems impossible at this moment in time (allthough I hope to be proven wrong).

Steemit should be available for everyone, not only to a select group of people that own a piece of $#|+.

Now to be even more constructive, I would want to make a suggestion for an alternative but... Unfortunately I can't think of one right now.

And a little side note I also why is there embedded stuff loading from facebook on a steemit page. Is that really needed? Is even a platform like Steemit subjective to facebook? come-on, just delete that crap. Let Facebook do their own work, don't use your steemit users to make facecrap even bigger.

PS this is my first post on Steemit,i hope i didn't break the rules already (going to read then now..) Feel free to slap me on the wrist for my mistakes. I hope I'm allowed to make corrections if needed.
