Steemit.com may be illegal in Europe.

I am not a lawyer but the fact you cannot remove information from this site may violate Europoean privacy laws in regard to "right to be forgotten"

The laws mean if you can't delete your data it means you don't own it.

Then the Bitcoin blockchain is illegal in Europe as well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

No its not the same thing because bitcoin doesn't contain personal info. The difference here is If someone makes a post about you on steemit and it can't be removed it breaks Eurpoean privacy laws.

The Bitcoin blockchain contains plenty of personal info, especially if you consider the transaction data to be personal info. And I could go copy the text of your intro post for example into the Bitcoin chain if I wanted to (and paid for it). Would the Bitcoin blockchain then be illegal in Europe?

One of the biggest parts of Steemit is its uncensored cant delete posts. If you could be deleted steemit wouldn't work.

Doesn't matter if its legal anywhere or not. Steemit can't be stopped or controlled. It works in China too and they are scrambling to block but its impossible.

what! lol

Thought bubble :)

Watch out! Posting more than 4 content posts a day can result in a lower payout. Guide to the posting structure can be found here.

Thank goodness I don't live in Europe. :P
