The first place I usually visit on steemit is my news feed as I know that is where I am most likely to see quality content from the people that I have chosen to follow. So, it goes, if you are in my feed because I follow you then you are much more likely to get an upvote.
What's more, I also hang out in the post-promotion channel quite often and find myself conversing and upvoting with the authors who I like their content or I like their attitude. Its a very positive environment and has undoubtedly helped to grow my followers.
So, I figured why not try a little "resteem" experiment?
In a manner similar to guilds and trails, I am suggesting "Team Resteem" in an effort to help each other out and get more eyeballs across our posts. The resteem function could be a very powerful tool if used correctly.
It's quite simple, we use the resteem to boost our readership but do it in a way that isn't spammy or counter-productive.
Now, I try to post every day, and sometimes up to 4 times daily. That means I post somewhere between 7 and 28 times a week roughly. I am sure there are others like me. So it's easy:
TEEM RESTEEM:
" I pledge to resteem 1 of your posts, and you resteem one of mine".
Now, in order to make sure that its managed correctly I think there should be some guidelines. For example, I post mainly about travel, food, cars and photography so I'm not going to share something completely odd that doesn't fit. So here is what I propose.
If you meet these guidelines:
- 100 + followers
- 10+ posts/week
Then comment "resteem" in the comments, and I pledge to resteem one of your articles at my discretion in the next week, and you will do the same for me.
To ensure that it doesn't get overloaded, I will limit this first trial run to 7 , so the first 7 steemers to comment are in.
Who knows? It may be great or may be not, but if you never try you never know. Would love to hear others thoughts about this idea also.
Go "Team Steem" !

I'm one of the ones who use resteems sparingly - very sparingly. Excessive resteems drive me nuts because when I'm trying to find quality content on a new-to-me person and I have to scroll, hunt and peck for THEIR content, I simply click away. I don't want to make the time for that shizzle, and that's the truth from my corner.

I agree, its why I set the limitations the way I did. So you can choose to resteem the post which is most suited to your audience and you can resteem it anytime in the week that suits you. I hope this way it won't become spammy because that is counter-productive

I joined in August and worked at it for a month learning.
Got disheartened first week of Sept with everything here, not enough votes, for the time I put in everywhere which bothered me and took a full month off and came back Nov 4th or so
I was basically a member of #ResteemersAnon most of my time on here, keeping good content moving lol - I RS a TON and cut back a week ago. Just trying diff. metrics etc. and seeing others' saying it was too much.

Right ! I got ya ! Everyone is different and what works for you may not work for someone else ! I mostly resteem contests and the sports bets so more people see them and we can hopefully make more money if we win ! By more people upvoteing it ! Then theres some that you need to resteem or you dont qualify to enter . But I just need to start posting more so my resteems dont totally take over . Thanks for the reply , steem On ! 👍😉

I am in. I have UV and RS this post and followed you.
I feel similarly, and echo what Karen McK. said below -- there are a lot of complaints by people who say some of us RS too much content and our stuff is hard to find.
IDK how to get around this, until they separate the RS and Blog portions, which needs to be done sooner than later.
RS good content is important.
I just posted a few mins ago and found a site where you guys can all login daily and get free steem so this is useful.

I think one should resteem what one considers to be valuable or he/she simply likes, why would you set terms?
Although I get the idea of having a bigger number of followers - more people will find about that post.
But why should the author post 10 times a week? Let the person breathe. lol.

I agree that one should always resteem what they consider valuable posts. Here I am just suggesting another way we can try to utilize the resteem feature. The 10 posts minimum was just a number i plucked so that the resteemed articles do not become spammy and will blend better with a mix of the origonal authors content. But heh, its just a fun experiment. Do you want to try?

I have to say, if my keyboard will die because I have drooled all over it, while reading your post, I'll hold you responsible.
