First of all: Yes, I know that I'm not a successful Steemian, but I keep up to date with SteemIt on a daily basis, learn new things, make ever greater progress and get closer to my goals every day. So if you have less money or reputation than me, I strongly recommend that you read this post or watch the video. It will definitely help you to get more upvotes, more followers, more friends, more money and more success at SteemIt.

Most users sign in to SteemIt for the money. The possibility of earning money by "not working" is far too precious not to try them out.

Most people are mistaken: In my opinion, money as a motivator is not a bad reason, but you will have to work hard and invest time in SteemIt! Nothing comes from nothing!

In this post I will give you all the tools you need to be successful on SteemIt. What you do with this tools is entirely up to you and your will power.

It depends on you whether you use a fraction of it and balance the rest with hard work, use more tools but work less, do nothing and ignore this post with all its knowledge or use 110% of your possibilities until you find the success you have been striving for beyond your limits.

The magic formula for success on SteemIt

8SRaYVE.png

The easiest way is often the wrong one.

You won't just write a post, get thousands of upvotes for it and leave this platform as millionaires.

Be prepared to get small or no payout at the beginning as a nobody on this platform even for good posts in which you have invested work. You will make this experience more often at the beginning and here you will also find the point where the wheat is separated from the chaff: At this point many people give up, don't touch SteemIt anymore and flare around like shitty SteemIt is.

I was also facing this crossroad at the beginning of my time and thought about how stupid these whales are, that they earn so much money with partially empty posts while I am doing work and not getting paid for it.

Sounds unfair, doesn't it? It sounds unfair, it is unfair and the whole life can be unfair, but that is the course of things and SteemIt is no exception. You now have the opportunity to either give up or work harder and be more persistent to achieve your goals.

The enumerated whales also worked for their success. Nobody becomes successful without hard work. Some of them maybe rest on their laurels now, but you are supposed to be hungry and strive for more. You will inevitably succeed and achieve your goals if you really want to.

Take SteemIt seriously!

joker-why-so-serious-wallpapers-for-iphone-Is-Cool-Wallpapers.jpg

Without some seriousness, you won't make money in the long run. To write for fun from time to time and then wonder why you do not earn money sounds kinda ironic, right? Imagine you own a company, but you only work if you feel like it. You won't have many orders and the company would go broke because you don't take your work seriously. If you want to make serious money and get successful, act like you are serious about the platform, the community and your courage.

Work hard and improve!

"The more difficult the victory the greater the happiness in winning"
― Pele

Work hard every day, and also work when you're not feeling so good and if you don't feel like it. Doesn't sound like the hottest job in the world, but you'll earn money in the long run, both with a company and here at SteemIt.

Improve yourself, improve your posts, improve just everything you can! Make your editing better, work better, harder, smarter, design a logo, make a intro for your videos, just do everything you can to improve!

Persistence is the Key

"Post at least 1 post per day, learn more about Steemit for 10 minutes per day and forge strong connections with 10 Steemians only!"
@valorforfreedom

Persistence is the key to success. Without exception! At that time I had to learn this in the hard way in sports and on SteemIt it is nothing else. Here you can read dozens of other motivations for persistence. Get it out of there. In my opinion, this is your strongest weapon for success. I just can't do without it and I can't point this out enough!

When it comes to SteemIt, @valorforfreedom is the most persistent user I know. He's got his goals, and he runs them though without mercy!

He takes SteemIt very seriously, earns his money with SteemIt and posts 2 posts every day. Without exception! He also has days when he is not very keen, exhausted or sick, but he still posts 2 posts or more a day for 121 days in a row now!
THAT is persistence and this leads to the fact that he has achieved a reputation of 62 without investing money in just 121 days. Be persistent, be like @valorforfreedom!

Educate yourself about SteemIt every Day!

"The more you learn the more you earn"
― Warren Buffett

Look at Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Oprah, Mark Cuban and other highly successful human. [...] They are successful because they are lifetime learners. They commit to learning new things EVERY SINGLE DAY.
― Team Fearless (Best Version of Yourself)

You should be clear about the platform through which you want to gain wealth. How it works, why it is the way it is and every day try to find out more about it and better understand it.

Educate yourself! It's the same with your hobbies: you want to get better and in order to do that you have to learn, know and understand more about it. You won't get around it, no matter what you do if you want to succeed! If you want to be better than average you need to work harder than average and know more than average!

Know all the other Steembased platforms and how they work, all the features Steem and SteemIt have, how to stand out on SteemIt, where Steem does come from, what witnesses do, how to formate your posts and so on and so on. You will need to put some work and time into it to understand these things. But it is knowledge you need to survive in the SteemIt-Ocean. I will give you all the links and guides, which will help you and have helped me.

Read the FAQ

SteemSchool by @valorforfreedom

For 19 days now, @valorforfreedom has been writing a post every day in the "SteemSchool" category, in which he shares his experience and knowledge of how to become successful on SteemIt. Take a look at his posts and read them carefully. They are very detailed and give you step by step all the important information you need to survive on SteemIt.

In the future there will also be a separate page about this, where you can access the knowledge from the Steemschool more clearly.

Berserkers_Separator.png

So how do I become successful in SteemIt?

To summarize my opinion up:

"Take SteemIt seriously, work hard, operate effort, improve everyday, gain all the knowledge you can, make friends and post persistent until your fingers bleed. You can have excuses or results not both. You will have to put time, work and effort to the platform to get the reward you think you deserve"

Thank you for the education, it is much needed. I am heading over to the FAQ now, right after I follow you :-)

Thank you @booster916 for a wonderful and helpful post. I definately agree about the video intro. I for one am in the process of making one, but will have to basically self learn it all. I have also invested money into steemit personally by buying steem/SBD with USD, and buying better video cams for better video content. Thanks again for an awesome post!

This post really deserve a standing ovation. You are right this is not a get rich quick scheme. Would you recommend using your SBM dollars to buy Steen till your higher on the food chain

I would recommend it highly. I am actually waiting for a better ratio to get more Steem for my SBD. Before the "crash" on the cryptocurrency market you could trade 1 SBD for 1,6 STEEM, not you get just 0,8 STEEM.

I will wait until I get more and then power up

Thank you. I appreciate it

Just wow, this is one of the best motivational post I ever read in steemit since joining it almost 9 months ago, you are very right. The hard work in steemit is really important. We just have to post everyday because it's really important in steemit. Using the tools helps a lot as well. Reading and learning everyday really make you the best on steemit. Thanks for this amazing post. :)

Thanky you. I really appreciate your words.

Nothing will fall from the sky, we must work with effort and dedication is steemit and in life to get what we want.

110% true

Wow, that's a honest motivational post I like. "Persistence is the key to success". Good one to keep in mind. Especially on my early days here on Steemit.

You will go far on Steemit, because you have a great attitude, also, the fact that you are willing to learn from others to up your game. I would wish you good luck, but you don’t need it your success will not be because of chance, but from your persistent actions.

thank you for your comment. I appreciate it

Well said..

Nothing is possible without money

You can not become successful just with money. Depending on your own definition of success money is not the solution to anything

Hy @booster916. I fans of your steemit. Please help me to improve my steemit. Please vote my steemit only once. I hope you can help me. Please. Thanks
My steemit is @nauliquez

@booster916 you did hit the nail on the head. I'm new on steemit and it's very frustrating to see my post get no upvote or a lil upvote but I've been trying the persistence thingy believing id become a whale some day😃😃😃😃😃your post have just encouraged me some more. Thank you👏👏👏👏

Yes. Work hard, make friends, join a SteemIt-community, learn everyday new things, be persistent and you will make it

I think that's the problem, ppl don't take this seriously, they just expect to put a photo up on steemit and get upvotes that instant, you need consistency, hard work, perseverance to actually achieve anything, my account is 2 weeks old and i alrdy achieved more than a large percentage of the ppl that have been here for months, how? By working my arse off, my friends wanted me to grab a coffee with them... i said no, my friends are all playing rainbow siege and they asked me to play with them... i said no, i was studying for exams every pause that i had i spent it on steemit
This is like any job, you need to work hard... unless you were one of the first adopters

Keep going, no matter how hard it seems

  ·  7 years ago (edited)

Thanks to @hopehuggs for resteeming this. Also thank you for this. This information really helps especially when you feel like your efforts aren't going anywhere. After reading this I know it's just the norm. Don't give up, just keep getting better.

Same to you. Move on, adapt and overcome

I completely resonate with every single word here you have penned down. A lot of people give up in the first few months and that is where they fail. Persistence is the key here if you want to be successful.
@valorforfreedom has been my motivation also, I like the way he has so clearly set his goals and calls them out loud.
And you are just doing fabulous, I am not sure what this platform is going to be like a couple of years down the line and the people we are connected with now what is the status going to be with them, but for sure now is the moment and if we do not make the most of it, nothing is going to change in future.

Everyone needs to work to achieve something and that is something, people do not understand.
I am sure Steem will make great in the future and will change the world so put hard work and effort into it now will pay out for sure

I watched the video on 2x speed, so unless I missed something, I'm pretty sure you're 100% right. Too many get on here and don't realize all the tools were given to them to succeed, they just have to work for it, and probably work harder than they've ever worked before to succeed at a social network if they want to earn. But that's the thing about steemit, if you do make good content, and work on building your social network, you will be rewarded.

110% true.
One question: Is there a specific reason why you watched the video at double speed? Is that because of my slow English? If so, please let me know so I can work on it in the future. I will take all the tips and criticism I get.

I'm always busy, so I usually watch at 1.5 or 2x speed.

Though, admittedly, I didn't have the time to read your post word-for-word, I did skim over it, seeing all the sub-heads and a few key points, and find that I'm in agreement with the basic ideas of your article. It really echoes what I've heard about success in general: vision, discipline, willingness. That's all, really...and consistency.

Thanks for being so brutally honest @booster916. I have recently came back to Steem and I like your style of telling it like it is. This platform can be confusing for sure but like you said if you take the time to understand how everything works and why, you can be successful here.
