brandonfrye, great video on Steemit Curation. Thanks for the 15-30 minutes window tips. Had no idea. upvoted and resteemed.

Thank you so much for explaining this. Now I know what I've been doing wrong the whole time. I'm still trying it out and testing if I want to use this platform to share content in different topics.

Thanku @brandonfrye for mentioned me in your video and also make a video guide for me thanks alot . i have one question which come is my mind while watching video that is any calculator or website which tell me how much curation reward i will get ?

You're very welcome @xee95... I'm glad this video helped. And I'm not sure of a website that specifically focuses on your curation rewards payout but I know that Steem Supply will show you both the comments and post payouts. I haven't played around with it too much but you can look it over and see. http://steem.supply/@xee95. And maybe somebody here in the community has a better suggestion for looking into your upcoming curation reward payouts.

you are always helpful thank you .. is upvote comments is same as upvoting posts ? i mean if i upvote post my SP will low according to % what about if i upvote comments ?

Yes, your voting power works the same no matter what you vote on. So just be mindful of when and how much you're upvoting things. I also use busy.org for upvoting comments. That is, until I get up to 500 Steem Power (or whatever the magic number is) and then I'll be able to use the sliding % scale on steemit.com.

yeah i know after 500 SP i will get % bar but thanks again to you , you told about busy.org which helps me most and upvote bot also helping me

@brandonfrye i noticed something that you sended money to @null and when i check @null account its little bit strange many people sending money to them and account value is zero .. can you please tell why everyone sending money to this account even he is not upvote bot

Yes, @null is the account you send your money to in order to promote your blog on Steemit. I'm just testing out the promotion function on Steemit for a future article. I'm trying to see if it's worth using or not. But the SBD that you send there is basically "destroyed" or "burned" meaning it's removed from the blockchain. That's why the account shows a zero balance. This could be a good thing because the more the coins are burned, the higher the value of SBD. But that could be a bad thing as there are already a limited amount of SBD. I'll make a video on this soon and explain my thoughts. Not sure about it yet.

yes probably video will be good to understand and people will also know about it. but if all the users going to destroy SBD for promoting their posts then surely after few years Steem would be destroy too its only my opinion . and Sir @brandonfrye like other cryto currency they have limited amount define what about steem network is the total amount is limited ?

Just finished your video on Youtube.
Another good informative video
:D
Thanks

Thanks @drtarts! :)

I'm brand new to Steemit and I'm feel so confused 😂 thank you for clearing some of the haze. I appreciate you compiling the information!!

First off, welcome to Steemit! Glad to have you here. And I'm glad that this helped to answer some of your questions. I post videos on a regular basis that aim to help the Steemit community. :)

I'm definitely checking out more of what you're posting!

thanks, steemit great place to be, trying to invest every week , thanks for info you share with us

Thanks for the great info. Im sure a lot people were a little fuzzy on how it works. Especially waiting 15 minutes. I didn't wait on this one because I thought you deserved all of it for sharing.

Thanks for the comment, @zhawk26. I was a little fuzzy myself so I'm glad the community asked how it worked. It forced me to really look into it. :)

Really great post. It made me realise how little I knew about curation rewards! I'll definitely be using these tips in the future, especially the 15 minute delay.
You have great tips, I'd love to hear more!

Thanks @lukebrn, I appreciate the feedback. This is something I should have looked into earlier but I'm glad somebody suggested it. Great information to have! :)

No problem! I'm a cryptocurrency consultant and I'm currently creating an online course in this area too, I'd love to chat more with you about what you do etc!

Okay cool, yeah I consider myself a small time investor in crypto (altcoins) but have built up a pretty good portfolio over the last few months. I earn most of my income from network marketing which has been my focus over the last 3 years. But this year I'm looking to move more into the investment quadrant ;)

That sounds great! Yes this year is great time to get started seriously investing :) My goal for this year is to build up as much crypto as I can and to support the ones that I really believe in! I'd love to hear about any tips you have for starting out on Steemit, as I have made a new year's resolution to post every day.

That's a good idea. I've put together some videos on how to make the most of Steemit and build up your channel, but not one specifically about a "game plan" or "goal setting". That's a great idea for a future video. Thanks!

sounds good, best of luck with everything - I made sure to follow you so I can keep up to date with your great content!

This is the wonderful thing about Steemit, every day you learn something new. Thank you very much for the contribution, it is an issue that we must do in the best way to maintain the optimal functioning of the network.

You're welcome. And I agree, if we all know how to best use the platform then we can all benefit. :)

Thank you for your clear explanation! You did a good job unraveling how the system works :-)

Thanks @markpu, I appreciate it :)

Wonderful information

Glad you found this helpful, @robus! :)

I had no clue how this things works to tell the truth. Thank you for the post, it was very informative for me.

I was looking for a tutorial on curation rewards. And finally, I have found your post with video. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the video. Very interesting and good to know.

Where do you get these informations? Does steemit.com tell you so?

Hi Brandon, I just thought of a topic you could tackle
What would be a good approach if you had to start a series? Like a photography series where one would post their work every other day or so?
What would be your tips for that? Maybe this could be covered in a future video :D

Votes me plz

I like to upvote all the comments on my blog too. Except for the obvious spam ones.

The most I’ve made in curation is .002
I feel like I’m wasting an upvote when I upvote on posts that already have a high payout. Sure, my curation reward will be larger, but the relationship building that comes from upvoting doesn’t happen when you just upvote large accounts.

As a person who is new and has few readers, most people who upvote and comment for me, get a visit from me, and I usually drop my .02 cents everywhere. AND since I don’t follow that many people, I can go back every few days and drop more .02 cents - which in turns gets me more readers.

Gaining more readers from my upvotes just makes more sense right now.

Still, I’m upvoting this post, so maybe in 7 days I’ll change my mind.

if I wait for half an hour and not going first?

Sneaky Ninja Attack! You have been defended with a 11.15% vote... I was summoned by @brandonfrye! I have done their bidding and now I will vanish...Whoosh

Thanks for this, very informative and useful. Followed!

Shared this with many people! Thank you!

Thanks man for guide us, this information works on new member just like me :)

brandonfrye, I just joined today and have already watched several of your videos. There is a wealth of knowledge on your page! Much appreciation for spelling out the more complex parts of steemit, and keep it coming!

Hi there i am a newbie here and i am amazed by the power of upvoting to generate income in steem.
I learned so much from your video been following your channel. I am inspired by your merhods in using steem and apply it and hopefully follow your steps.

This video just made me understand better some things and answered to a few questions that i had about steemit and i really didn't know about those 15 min.I love your way to explain how steemit works.Be sure from now on i will keep an eye "on you".😉.Thank you for this video and for all the informations that you share with all of us.

This post has received a 6.68 % upvote from @boomerang thanks to: @brandonfrye

@boomerang distributes 100% of the SBD and up to 80% of the Curation Rewards to STEEM POWER Delegators. If you want to bid for votes or want to delegate SP please read the @boomerang whitepaper.

Thank for the info again I did not realise that I was possibly earning when I was upvoting I just did it because I like the posts. One thing I did not see yet is what happen if you upvote after the payout as pass. Is it helping the author and decrease your voting power?

@brandonfrye am really excited with this article. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the tips, those are very helpful! I recently joined so I still don't really know what I'm doing but the community is nice in helping :)

Thank U @brandonfrye for your video

This post has received a 2.85 % upvote from @booster thanks to: @brandonfrye.

Thanks for the information. I just finished watching the video. Im just learning how this works. Good luck and keep the information coming.

Thanks, @brandonfrye :) Great video. It really really helps. I hope you still see this, given your post is now 2 months old. Maybe, that is why you haven't seen, commented or upvoted any of my other comments on your posts - my being late and all. I had thought of doing a post to explain How Steemit Curation Rewards Work, but I think you have covered it fairly close to perfection. Not to mention it is just so complex to begin with. Maybe down the road when I have a better grasp of it. Like I learned I've over-killed my voting power down to 25%. So time to put the breaks on a bit... :)

BTW, my next burning question is why when I added $450 worth of steem to my wallet (mostly to power up) the bottom "Estimated Account Value" calculator is like $70 USD below the actual value? Do you know if they calculate something that throws it off or why the discrepancy? Maybe it's just a bug to be worked out. Just curious if you happen to know. Have a great day!

thank you so much for compiling this info for us newbies! I've been a bit confused :')
