Crowdfunding and Community Prosperity-- What's the etiquette on Steemit for a group owned profile?

in steemit •  8 years ago

I'm new to the platform, so of course, I am asking myself all sorts of question for what's possible here and what's cool with the community etiquette. I imagine all noobies go through a similar process!

Do projects and/or communities create accounts that represent the whole, where different community members can log into the same account and share, connect, etc so the project as a whole can generate prosperity for itself in a crowdfunding like way?

My heart says why not? Seems reasonable for a group of 5-15 people who trust each other to share an account and generate funds that go to the project or community as a whole.

Is there any precedent for this?

What are the pros and cons?

Is it considered poor taste for some reason?

I would love to hear input.

Thanks
<3 Bret
