I have been doing my EVERYTHING Steem 30 day challenge for 1 Week.

Here are my results after 1 week:

563 Steem power (goal: 734) (7 days ago - 367)
408 followers (goal: 1000) (7 days ago - 320)
341 Posts (goal: 400) ( 7 days ago - 217)

💰Buying Steem:
The increase of Steem power is from some bitcoin I was able to buy. There are many other cryptocurrencies I could have bought but I think that steem is an incredible idea that is already proving its worth. People are using steemit.com and earning cryptocurrency. Social media is a great introduction into the power of decentralized currency. There is a lot of growth potential for steem and steemit is just the beginning. I may buy more Steem power soon. It has been low so it is a good time to buy.

We advertise Steemit on our facebook and youtube communities to reach out to other content developers. We notice a couple have followed (check out our friend @nicepink00). Bringing in people from outside is really more their benefit than ours (if they stick with it). I have found the main way I get followers is to interact with the people that are already here on steemit. I am meeting some great people.

👨‍💻Earning Steem and Posting
Instead of posting on Youtube, facebook and instagram I have been focusing on Steemit. I put content on steemit first then (maybe) release it on the other platforms. This has allowed me to double what I put on steemit.com. Our Youtube channel and adsense currently earns more than what we make on Steemit. We make $5-9USD per day on Youtube while Steemit averages about $2-4USD per day. The earning potential for us is higher on Steemit if we can build the same level of interest in our content. I say OUR and WE because it is me and @yurisincero.

So far, I have not missed a day of posting, upvoting commenting and interacting. It is like an obsession as I am realizing more of the potential of this platform and what blockchain technology can really do for people all over the world.

I am starting to understand part of @dantheman's vision of steem (must read: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@dantheman/daniel-larimer--co-founder-of-bitshares-steemit).

Conclusion:
I just want to say that one of the HUGE advantages that Steemit has over facebook is that there is a lack of "stove pipes". What has happened on Facebook is that there are all of these fiefdoms, huge groups of people that do not see each others content and do not interact. On Steemit, I regularly talk to liberals, conservatives, anarchists and people from all over the world. We definitely don't all agree on everything but steemit encourages engagement and communications. Not sure if anyone has noticed this. And there is very little trolling.. at least I have not seen much.

It is still new so maybe the trolling and separation of groups will happen eventually. But it is refreshing that it is not currently happening and exposure to ideas outside of my own worldview makes me consider other possibilities. That is a good thing.

Great post, especially for me - a newbie to all of this!

Thank you. Make sure you do an introduction post and put introduceyourself in the tags.

Sounds like a good strategy.

Seems to be working so far.

Nice post!
