My best friend and I joined steemit at the same time last month. We started making posts and learning about steemit together.
7 days ago... I was so happy for him... I wrote him to congratulate him on jumping from 25 to 26 in reputation.
Now the best man in my wedding @almondbutter is at 18 reputation.
6 days ago @steemcleaners voted him down for plagiarism. 8 point penalty for copy and pasting an article about Qtum that @almondbutter had found and thought was good info.
Here you see @almondbutter apologizing for not showing source. I have known him my whole life... he is the most honest guy...he really didn't realize he was doing something wrong. I could see a small penalty to warn people.. like 1 or 2 rep reduction... but instead he was given minnow plague. Doesn't seem right for an honest mistake. Look at his posts... he is an asset to steemit... yet treated like some spammer... which he is not. I hope you consider checking him out and giving him an upvote to get out of this hole...he is a real person... he cares, he posts interesting stuff. I thought that is what steemit wanted. Where is the love @steemcleaner... give a guy his reputation back. Look at his posts... he is not a spammer... it's obvious.
