Since the bots are now being delegated huge amounts of SP, can they alone choose the top witnesses? In the early days, the steemit employees had sufficient power, but most have delegated their SP. Our we now at the mercy of largest delgatees?
No, Steem Power that is delegated can affect bandwidth and voting for posts. It's witness voting property stays with the original owner.

I find much comfort in this, and it is good that the bots will not have total control, but of course the owners and any large SP accounts running bots still for all practical purposes, choose the top witnesses.
I suppose as the bots get larger and power up more and more, this could become a real factor?
