Hey everyone I just wanted to express the gratitude that I have for every single last one you people. You have changed my life in ways you don’t even imagine by just reading and voting on my content. For someone who finds it hard to hold a full time 9-5 with an anxiety order, I have almost paid of my student loans and am able to save for a future. Words cannot express how thankful you and your support is. I have been trying to write articles every day for the last year, I took a few month break during when the payouts went down to focus on my last semester in college, but since then I have returned and I don’t plan on stopping. Even if payouts in the future drop to nothing I won’t disappear again, I promise that.
To celebrate my 2000 follower milestone I want to start an upvote party and spend all the current voting power I have in this thread! Anyone who comments here is going to get some sort of upvote from me and it might be completely random the %. I will also be giving out double whatever the amount of steem dollars are earned here in amounts of 20 to random commenters when it pays out in 7 days. Please only post one comment!, you can reply to people, but dont just post a bunch of spam or I won’t upvote you. I will also sit down and try and reply to as many comments as I can before the end of today, so feel free to ask me questions or anything else you want to know!

What a great story one of which is very unique and special to you of course but thankfully is happening all around Steemit!
There are so many people making more money via steemit than they were their 9-5's, some people paying off loans like u, some supporting their families and some even saving to buy land and houses! How amazing is it that we are a part of this together?!?!?!
I have been off Steemit for many months but am super stoked to be back. When I left u were a very popular and successful user and I see that you are even more so now!
I have always focused my interactions here on steemit on bringing real value to the community and using the rewards to improve the world.

OK - cynical post here - excuse me!
Im seeing a lot of 'x amount of Followers for me!' posts recently, with a hearty amount of back slapping, high fiving & whooping thru the Steem blockchain.
Nothing wrong with this, its an achievement of sort, but I think people are forgetting that followers does not necessarily mean views. I will be more impressed with the post that gathers 1000 views or 1000 comments than the poster with 1000 followers! I have no idea how many of these are knocking around Steemit, but im guessing its very low.
Remember, its very easy to gain followers, particularly once you hit a certain critical mass of rep, or have a certain amount of Steem Power. It is less easy to get views, and meaningful engagement. I will watch with interest to see how many views this post gets in the next few days, and will compare it with some of the other 'x FollowerS - woohoo' posts I have seen, and run some analysis to try to draw out correlation with views. I think it might be interesting!
Taking nothing away from your acheivements here on Steemit @calaber24p - you've managed to create a lot of value for people and kudos for now making a living from blogging!

Hey stoka I totally hear you and many of my followers probably dont vote so you are 100% right. Its an arbitrary number, I just really wanted to celebrate and give back to many who actually read. I was thinking about putting this post under a random tag, but I figured it would be better for everyone if we have a better reach of the people out there. I have been lucky and whales have helped me out greatly. If it werent for them I wouldnt be here. I am not nearly as big as them, but one day I would like to pass it on and help other people out. This is why I upvote almost all of the comments on my posts. I appreciate all comments even those with criticism because I think it is healthy and provides for better discussion.
