This is so spot on! I was speaking recently about instagram that it seemed everybody was on that platform just trying to build their own platform, it just didn't feel authentic.
I could never get into it.
However, in the very short amount of time that I've been on Steemit, I have found that I am consistently interested in certain peoples posts and find myself actively seeking out others with common interests.
I also find myself slowly getting engaged with my own content (a first).
Steemit Community feels authentic to me.
