Can Steemit Become A Platform for Sustainable Community Development in Ethiopia?steemCreated with Sketch.

Hi Steemit!

I had the good fortune of traveling to Mekelle Ethiopia last year to take a course entitled, "Sustainable Community Development" at Mekelle Institute of Technology in the Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia. It sure is a beautiful country.

In the village of Amdiwoyane where I stayed with my fellow classmates, infrastructure to support a sustainable food supply, sanitation education, and a stable water supply were all sorely needed. What is the potential for widespread support for non-for-profit ventures in the steemit community? I would like to reach out to my contacts and help them to promote their non-for-profit ventures on this platform.

Let me know your thoughts.
